We officially stepped into life in Rocklin, starting with a warm welcome to our new ward at the annual Labor Day Breakfast complete with face painting, splash pad fun, and easy conversation that made us feel instantly at home. The kids dove headfirst into school, fundraisers, and new routines, while Pres and I embraced the joys (and responsibilities) of homeownership…yes, lawn mowing included.
One of the highlights of the month was our very first family campout near our new hometown. With so many parks and outdoor spaces nearby, it’s no surprise that life here happens outside. From sunset walks by the lake to s’mores under the stars and pancake art for breakfast, it was the perfect way to slow down and soak in this new season of life.
September also made space for rest and reconnection. We had game nights, did puzzles, made a few ice cream stops, farmers market mornings, and a much-needed “treat yourself” day for me filled with movement, reflection, good food, and a movie. As we settle into our home, neighborhood, and community, my heart feels full. We’re grateful for the memories already made and excited for what’s ahead as fall begins.
